Apsara will be presented in an ephemeral space on the ground floor of Galeries Lafayette in Biarritz from Friday April 15 to Sunday April 17, 2022. Since March 2020, Karl Cauquais has taken over the management of the department store located at 17-19 Place Georges Clemenceau. The new management aspires to host punctually young brands selected for their creativity and their values in the era of time.

Oblique's spring-summer 2022 collection is made up of sharp summer jackets that reflect the brand's stylistic language: a monochrome collection to accentuate sculptural silhouettes, elaborate cutouts, ample volumes and pieces with sophisticated details. We can still find the triangular cutout on the back of each piece as a brand's signature.

The GOTS certified organic cotton and linen twill made in Portugal jackets are sold between 700€ and 900€ depending on the model. The collection is inspired by the vernacular architecture of Rajasthan and offers meaningful creations with contemporary elegance. Oblique's sleeved pieces embody the brand's idealistic vision of the future, between innovation and sustainable development.

Oblique's creations will be labeled Go For Good, the internal label of the Galeries Lafayette group for a more responsible fashion. Although the event is ephemeral, the Galeries Lafayette Group wishes to promote and identify the pieces produced under conditions that limit their ecological and social impact, as is the case with Oblique.

In its will to develop sustainable collections, the fabrics are chosen for their quality, the traceability of their production chain and their environmental and social certifications. The collections are made in Portugal on a model that aims to avoid overproduction.

Oblique will present its FW22 coat collection, Ceto, at Galeries Lafayette in Lyon Part-Dieu for three weeks from September 19 to October 10, 2022. This ephemeral corner will be held following the Responsible Fashion Prize for Fashion Talents de mode 2021 won by Oblique.

This first collaboration with Galeries Lafayette is meaningful for Oblique, the father of one of the founders being from Biarritz. Charles Pinel, artistic director and co-founder of the brand, has always frequented the Basque coast to meet his father, Brice. Some of the brand's projects, in particular the production of its scenography and signage, were carried out there.
